Bachelor of Information Technology
Tackling real-life challenges through knowledge & skills in IT.
The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) at Lumbini Adarsha Degree College is a four-year, eight-semester degree affiliated to Purbanchal University under the Faculty of Science & Technology. The programme builds a practical foundation in programming, software design, databases, networks, and emerging technologies so graduates can work confidently in Nepal and abroad.
Information systems sit at the centre of banking, education, government, retail, and start-ups. BIT students learn how those systems are designed, built, tested, and maintained — from first-semester programming through semester projects, internship, and an apprentice project in the final year.
Alongside technical depth, the curriculum develops communication, ethics, and problem-solving. Graduates leave ready for roles such as software developer, systems analyst, web or mobile engineer, database administrator, and network specialist, or for further study in MIT, MCA, and related fields.
